Dynasty Dance Collective is a unique, ground-breaking company of inspiring women dedicated to pursuing creative brilliance in the art of dance. Dancing together since 2013, the programme is recognised as one of Yorkshire’s powerhouse dance schools,

Our dancers train weekly to create challenging performances for shows, competitions and public displays, encompassing a wide-range of styles & traditions to excite and delight our audiences.

Dynasty Dance Purple Reign headlines our programme as our flagship team, showcasing everything from Modern to Commercial, Bhangra to Acro. These lead dancers are supported by the Dynasty Dance Slayers, an internationally themed Global Dance team, Dynasty Dance Lady Sovereigns Hip-Hop crew, the elite Lyrical Contemporary company Dynasty Dance Supremacy , our Musical Theatre Troupe the Dynasty Dance Royals and our newest team Queens, our Pom Squad.

In 2024, we look forward to launching our new team, the Dynasty Dance Unicorns.

OUR MISSION

Dynasty Dance Collective is dedicated to building character in our dancers by fostering a positive learning environment, which encourages self-motivation, respect, hard work and individual as well as group achievements. Our sincere aim is to build champions on and off the dance floor through providing the opportunity to learn and practice tenacity, accountability and commitment. Our chief objective is to perfect competitive dance skills, create community, and build confidence in every one of our athletes.

MENTAL HEALTH BENEFITS

Working collaboratively toward a collective, specific goal teaches the value of professionalism and a job well done. Every routine is a team project, training dancers to co-operate and value the talents and contributions of others. Participation in challenging and exciting public performances, both locally and on a national scale, exposes members to diverse audiences and encourages a sense of community. PHYSICAL HEALTH BENEFITS

Dancing is a demanding physical activity, requiring fitness and dedication to keep our bodies healthy. Dance integrates several brain functions at once: rational, kinaesthetic, musical & emotional, which increases dancers’ neural connectivity. Covering a wide range of dance techniques, dancers learn and respond quickly, building skills of body memory and mental agility.

PREPARE FOR INDUSTRY

Frequent local and national performances give ambitious performers life-changing opportunities to be ready to pursue their dreams and goals. Team work, employability and communication skills, which transfer to any job, are rigorously practised in the dance studio. Regular training and rehearsal schedules prepare us for a busy work place. Working with a professional choreographer inspires dancers to listen, follow instructions and learn to respond well to feedback; taking every opportunity to improve.
